Will we see HarmonyOS 4 announcement for global smartphones at HDC 2023: Poll

Tomorrow, Huawei will launch HarmonyOS 4 for all of the Huawei ecosystem and partners in China but will we also see the launch of this operating system for global smartphones. Let’s check out the possibilities.

HarmonyOS 4 is still a major demand for global users but there are some issues regarding its global adaptation. Especially, in the application ecosystem. The software is now mature enough to run global smartphones but app compatibility is a bigger issue, which is keeping HarmonyOS limited to the Chinese ground.

Since Huawei is not marketing HarmonyOS 4 for global smartphones, we have doubts about that happening.

EMUI 14:

Another thing is, Huawei has nothing to do with the immediate launch of new mobile software for global users. The company is already running late in software rollout for previous devices and some of them aren’t even confirmed.

Thus, the wait will lead us toward the EMUI 14 later this year and it will unveil around the Huawei Mate 50 series. What’s more interesting is that the software will contain all of the HarmonyOS 4 features.

Tablets and Smartwatches:

HarmonyOS 4 will come for global customers in new tablets and smartwatches. As Huawei has already switched its legacy software on these devices with HarmonyOS but not for phones.
