WhatsApp continues to expand Meta AI usability across the chat application. After texts and images, WhatsApp will soon enable users to share voice messages with the Meta AI assistant and get instant responses to their numerous queries.

Meta AI is already capable of editing your images, answering your questions, recommending topics, and giving your profile a new avatar with “Imagine Yourself“.

But now, WhatsApp is enhancing the Meta AI to a greater extent with voice messages support. The latest capability is spotted in the Android beta 2.24.14.20 version and rolling out to limited beta testers through the Google Play Beta Program.

The company now added a mic icon on the Meta AI chat interface. This addition implies that users can send voice-recorded queries instead of typing a long text.

Doing so will make communication with AI chatbots simpler, easier, and far more convenient. It is a faster way to chat with the in-built app assistant. The feature further saves time. Just tap on the mic, record your query, and send it.

Note that Meta AI will immediately notify you about interruptive audio. If the voice message is full of disturbance or the chatbot doesn’t detect the words accurately, it will ask you to record again. Thus, the communication remains clear throughout.

WhatsApp is rolling out the new feature to a limited beta testers on Android. Although it won’t take much time to release the feature broadly via a stable version.
