WhatsApp is preparing an inbox-like feature for the Android version that will allow users to mark all chats as read. The significant capability is in the testing phase. However, the company will soon start rolling it out for the general app customers.

Spotted in the WhatsApp Android beta 2.24.18.11 version, the company has released a “mark all chats as read” option for some beta testers. From the term, using this capability in the app will mark all the conversations unread, resulting in a clean view.

The company has been working on a feature that can wipe out the unread message count. It seems the result is finally here. A new option “Mark all as read” is available in the overflow menu of the chats list. Tapping it will clear the unread chats in one go.

Note that this feature has been residing in the iOS WhatsApp version for a long while. However, the company is finally readying it for Android devices. This addition will ensure an improved and more convenient experience for the application users.

Also, users will see a neat and clutter-free chat interface after using this feature. WhatsApp is rolling out the latest add-on via the Google Play Beta Program to testers. Meanwhile, others have to wait for a stable release to check on this addition.
