WhatsApp is bringing a useful “delete” tool that will let you remove preset chat lists, whenever required. It ensures that your app’s interface remains clutter-free. The feature will further enable users to customize the app as per their requirements.

Chat lists allow users to have better control of their conversations. One can customize these lists and organize conversations priority-wise. It is perfect when you have to manage your personal and business life effectively, without getting stressed.

However, due to default settings, users were unable to delete these preset chat lists from WhatsApp. Finally, the company is readying a new tool that enables users to remove these chat lists, especially some specific filters from the app’s interface.

Spotted in the Android beta 2.24.23.23 version, WhatsApp is bringing a feature that can erase the preset chat lists from the interface. All you have to do is, tap and hold a preset filter such as Unread or Groups. A small pop-up menu will appear.

Click on the ‘Delete’ option and it will remove the filter from the chat list bar. It is a faster and more efficient way to customize the app as per your needs. Don’t worry, as removing the filter won’t delete it permanently.

One can still access the preset filters from the app’s settings menu. You can review and change the filter settings in one place without hustling in the application.

Thus, you can restore a deleted filter at any time. WhatsApp is rolling out this feature to some beta testers. Although it will soon release this effective tool to other users via a stable update.
