WhatsApp is readying a new feature that will allow users to pick a language for voice message transcripts capability. Now you can hear the received voice notes in your preferred dialect without opting for an additional translation medium.

Spotted in the WhatsApp Android beta 2.24.13.8 version, WhatsApp is now working on the ‘voice message transcripts language feature’. In case you’re more like an audio-chat person rather than a text, then this capability could play wonders for you!

From the name, the significant feature will enable you to choose a language for the transcription of the received voice note. The company might avail the functionality in the Chat sections of the settings page with the upcoming app updates.

The ‘transcript language’ section currently holds only five main languages including English (device’s language), Spanish, Portugues (Brazil), Russian, and Hindi.

Although we can expect that the company will introduce more new dialects in the time ahead. Choosing any of the above-mentioned options will let you hear the voice note in that particular language, allowing you to talk in different languages.

Note that you can change the language at any point when required. It not only enhances the accessibility to communicate in multiple dialects but also improves the accuracy of transcriptions. The feature is available to some beta testers for the moment. Although WhatsApp will soon release it for general consumers.
