WhatsApp to soon bring a new ‘zoom control’ button for camera
WhatsApp is testing a significant “zoom control” feature for its in-chat camera. As the name suggests, the new addition to the app will help users take more clear pictures. It will eventually enhance the photo-capturing experience in the chat app.
Spotted in the Android beta 2.24.15.3 version, WhatsApp has started rolling out the ‘zoom control’ feature for the camera. Being a testing build, it is available to limited users. Others have to wait for a stable release to fetch the new change.
Talking about the feature, users will see a new icon beside the shutter button in the app’s camera. Tapping on it manually will allow users to adjust the zoom level.
One can also use the “pinch-zoom” gesture to shift or change the zoom for the object. Users can further quickly reset the zoom level by tapping on the zoom button.
The new feature seems far better than the previous versions. Earlier, users need to hold the shutter button while moving their fingers up and down for zoom changes. But now, you can opt for these changes within a few easy taps.
Although the feature is still in the testing phase and will take a few days to approach all users. To skip this wait, you can register in the Google Play Beta Program and obtain the latest features ahead of the official rollout.
