So far, there has been only biometric authentication that limited users to looking for alternative methods to safeguard the app. Although now, users can opt for a variety of methods, as per their preference to lock the respective application.

Other than that, features like the Automatic Lock duration and showing content in notifications remain the same. The latest authentication options addition to the app will act as an extra layer of security and improve the privacy experience for users.

Currently, the feature is on the beta road and available via the Google Play Beta Program to a handful of Android testers. However, the company will soon bring this beneficial functionality to general consumers.
