After Android, WhatsApp now aims to introduce AR call effects and filters for iOS device users. The company has started testing this feature for the iOS application version and is rolling it out to limited beta testers through the TestFlight Beta Program.

Found in the WhatsApp iOS beta 24.17.10.74 version, the company has now pushed off the AR call effects and filters to non-Android users. The aim is to expand the efficient video call capabilities and benefits to more application users around the globe.

Compared to the Android version, the iOS AR call effects and filters seem a bit more interesting. The company is adding several dynamic facial filters to the app for video call scenarios that will make your face-to-face conversations more fun.

Users can pick any filter during the video call or simply alter the color tone of their video in real-time. Some background editing tools are also present to make your video calls more dynamic. For instance, you can turn on the touch-up mode.

Another tool will blur or replace your surroundings via a pre-set background by WhatsApp. Users can further enable the low-light mode to make the video calls bright even in dim lights. There could be more tools that may become visible with a stable build.
