WhatsApp tests ‘quick reply feature’ for instant video messages

WhatsApp instant video message capability is now becoming more useful with a “quick reply feature”. The new addition is currently in development and is available to a handful of Android testers. Although it will soon roll out to the general public.

The new quick reply feature is appearing in the WhatsApp Android beta 2.24.14.5 version. You can grab this build by enrolling in the Google Play Beta Program.

WhatsApp aims to enhance the instant video message feature with the new quick reply capability. By the term, the latest add-on will enable you to reply to the video message in no time. All you need it tap on a small icon given beside the video.

Yes, the company is adding a new camera icon shortcut next to the video messages in the chat. Tapping on this icon will open the camera and allow you to record.

Earlier, users were bound to manual processes or the ordinary gesture to initiate a video recording. But the new version makes the reply segment easier, quicker, and more convenient. You would be able to respond to video messages within a minute.

WhatsApp is rolling out this feature to limited beta testers to ensure that the feature works effectively and doesn’t require improvement. After a complete inspection, the company will open the stable release for other users.
