WhatsApp readying new Privacy Checkup screen feature for Android users
WhatsApp is preparing a new significant Privacy Checkup screen tool for Android device users. The feature is currently hoping in the beta stage and is available to a limited number of Android testers via the Google Play Beta program.
The company is rolling out the WhatsApp Android beta 2.24.13.12 build which brings a prominent ‘Privacy Checkup’ screen feature. From the name, the capability enables users to take a quick look at the privacy settings of the application.
It also allows you to make adjustments in the privacy settings as well as manage them accordingly. The feature shows up in the Settings > Privacy tab of the app.
Visiting the Privacy section and scrolling down will show you an option ‘Privacy Checkup’. Tapping on this option will help you to open a separate screen with privacy settings.
Note that earlier it was only possible to use the Privacy Checkup feature via a WhatsApp banner. Although the company is now releasing a new update that will let you directly access this capability without waiting for the application to show the banner.
Compared to the previous version, this is an effective way to use the Privacy Checkup feature. The company has availed this facility to a few users for the moment and will initiate a stable release in the time ahead.
