WhatsApp will soon enable its users to play with their ‘self’ images using an AI tool called ‘Imagine Me’. The interesting capability is currently in the testing phase and is showing up for some Android beta testers via the latest rollout.

Meta plans to make WhatsApp a more interactive chat application for its users. The company is constantly introducing new and useful tools that can enhance WhatsApp to more extent. And the ‘Imagine Me’ feature is no exception to this theory.

As the term suggests, the WhatsApp ‘Imagine Me’ AI feature will help users generate their images for the profile picture section. Since it’s AI, one can choose new backgrounds, locations, and eye-catching effects to add to their portrait pictures.

All you need is to take a set of your pictures and upload them on Meta AI to create AI images. Uploading your snaps will ensure that the AI image resembles your appearance accurately. Don’t worry as users can delete these uploaded snaps anytime via settings.

“To generate an AI image of yourself, type ‘imagine me…’ in your Meta AI chat. You can also use this feature in other chats by typing ‘@Meta AI imagine me…’ Learn more.”

When typing in other conversations, Meta AI won’t read your texts or confidential details. Once generated, the image will automatically appear (shared) in the chat.

Note that ‘Imagine Me’ is an optional feature and you have to turn it on through the settings and take the setup images to get results. This feature is under development but could soon be rolled out to the general public.
