WhatsApp may soon let you share media directly to other apps
WhatsApp is working on a new feature that will soon enable users to share media such as images, videos, or documents to other apps directly. Yes, you won’t need to save the file and go through long processes to exchange the media between apps.
The company has been testing several capabilities that can make the chat app fun and more useful for users. These changes would enhance the user experience.
As of now, WhatsApp is testing a new way that will let you share media files with other apps directly. Users can even share certain messages with third-party applications.
Spotted in the Android beta 2.24.25.20 version, WhatsApp is rolling out a significant feature for its beta testers. It has integrated a new bar at the bottom of the app interface to quickly share content with other apps. It will eventually provide you with certain app options to share or forward the media to other apps.
The benefit of this feature is to avoid unnecessary downloading of files or images for sharing them over other apps. One can also instantly post a story on Instagram or FaceBook via this new sharing feature.
In case you’re thinking that the sharing capability will be limited to Meta apps, then don’t worry! WhatsApp is also working on adding other social platforms to this sharing feature. The new addition is still in the testing phase but will soon be available to a wider range of users.
