WhatsApp in-app call dialer

WhatsApp will soon ease the calling experience for its users with a new in-app call dialer. Yes, the company is readying an in-built dialer for the application. It will allow users to dial the number directly from the chat app instead of the system app.

The company has been testing a series of UI changes for the application. It has brought a floating button within the call tab. This addition enabled users to directly communicate with an unknown contact without saving their number in the address book.

Now the company is exploring a new in-app call dialer for WhatsApp. It has even started rolling out to some Android beta users via the 2.24.26.11 testing version.

If you want to experience new WhatsApp features ahead of their stable rollout then sign up in the Google Play Beta Program. Tap HERE to become a beta tester. But proceed at your own risk as beta versions could lead to irritating bugs and issues.

Speaking of the new feature, the company has added a “Call a number” feature to the contacts page. Floating buttons that used to take up space on the screen and created a messy look on the app. However, the new dialer is simple and easy to use.

Tapping on the “Call a number” feature will open the in-app dialer. Once you enter the phone number, the app will perform the verification process. After checking the number, it provides immediate confirmation, making the calling experience convenient.

Also, it eliminates the need to save a number to contact them. Just input the number and enjoy a smarter calling experience on WhatsApp. The feature is still in the beta phase but will soon be available to more app users via a stable update.
