WhatsApp Privacy Checkup Access

WhatsApp is testing a new way to access Privacy Checkup features. Now it would be easier to keep your chats and account details safer without going through multiple processes or opening various sections in the application.

Spotted in the Android beta 2.24.18.8, the company is rolling out a new “entry point” for WhatsApp Privacy Checkup features for an easier access for users.

This new capability is available to Android testers via the Google Play Beta Program. Although the company will soon release it for other consumers through a stable build.

Privacy Checkup has certain features such as who can contact you, controlling personal info, adding more privacy to your chats, and adding more protection to your account. These tools ensure better safety of a user’s account.

Earlier, accessing this Checkup section required to tap on a banner. But now WhatsApp is preparing a new separate option. Tapping on Settings > Privacy and scrolling down will show the Privacy Checkup option.

From here, users can easily access significant features and enable them as per their requirements. Perhaps you don’t have to wait for any banner to show up or look for other ways to access privacy tools and make your account safer than before.

The new feature is rolling out to limited beta testers on Android devices. However, the company will bring this accessibility to more users in the coming days.
