WhatsApp introduces ‘customer notes’ feature via new beta update

WhatsApp is preparing a new feature called ‘Customer Notes’. The new add-on will likely show up for business accounts. It will enable users to become more interactive with their customers and efficiently run their business through the chat application.

The feature details appeared in the WhatsApp Android beta 2.24.15.6 version. It is currently rolling out only to limited testers via the Google Play Beta Program.

WhatsApp Customer Notes feature ensures that business persons can manage their customer details more effectively. When contacting a customer, the user can add notes about them on his/her profile to easily remember that person.

Just tap on their name at the top of the conversation. It will open the customer’s profile page. Below their name, you will see the Notes section. Adding any details about the person will only allow you to see it and not that customer.

Business persons can view, edit, or delete their details directly from the chat info screen when required. It’s quite an easy and convenient way to keep track of all customers without missing any important details or points given by them.

Just a month ago, WhatsApp introduced new AI tools for its business account users. The list included a smart and helpful assistant, a Meta verified mark, as well as a call feature for larger businesses. These tools are rolling out gradually to all business users.
