WhatsApp improves emoji keyboard with 2.24.12.23 beta update
WhatsApp is rolling out a new 2.24.12.23 beta update for Android devices which improves the emoji keyboard. The latest update is arriving to some testers via the Google Play Beta Program to enhance the stability and app’s interaction for users.
WhatsApp is releasing the Android 2.24.12.23 beta update to fix the emoji keyboard crashing issue. The respective problem appeared while testing the new channel analytical feature that shows the overall performance of a channel to admins/owners.
The information reveals that when using the analytical feature, the emoji keyboard stopped responding. As a result, tapping on the emoji in the chat bar pops up a prompt saying “WhatsApp keeps stopping” with two options: App Info and Close app.
Further inputs say that the issue prevented users from sharing emojis, GIFs, and stickers with their contacts. It also affected the chat experience for many users.
Some users tried to restart the device and force-stop the app. But things proved vain and didn’t help them. Although WhatsApp is now bringing a hotfix to this problem. Those who have received the version can check if it is useful or if the issue persists.
It is worth mentioning that the beta version often creates such glitches and issues when testing new features. Hence you should install these builds at your own risk or else you may continue to face such problems in your chat application.
