WhatsApp Android to bring event reminder feature for Community
WhatsApp has dispatched a new beta update for Android devices which accompanies an ‘event reminder’ feature for the Community. From the name, the capability will remind users or group members about future-coming events or occasions.
Spotted in the Android beta 2.24.12.5 build, WhatsApp is bringing another useful feature for the Community section in the form of an ‘event reminder’ capability.
While users were earlier able to manage or create events directly within the community groups, they can now even schedule event notifications. Users will soon get the option to set reminders for their events and notify others before the event begins.
It is quite useful when you as an admin want to keep community members up-to-date and involved in the ongoing or scheduled events. You will get three options (30 minutes, 2 hours, or 1 day before) to set the reminder for the upcoming event.

Note that you can select only two options from the above-listed ones at a time. Hence the event reminder feature boosts the flexibility as well as enhances the user experience. It also ensures that you may not miss any meetings or important stuff.
WhatsApp is rolling out the latest Community feature via the Google Play Beta Program to some Android testers for the moment. Although the general public will soon get the chance to experience it through the official rollout.
