EMUI 14.2 Live View

EMUI 14.2 is full of surprising tools that can uplift the user experience at once, and one such is the Live View feature. It’s one of the most interesting features and reflects how Huawei made its EMUI more productive and amazing with the latest version.

As the name suggests, Live View gives users an instant glimpse of the ongoing services or app activities in real-time. Instead of opening an app again and again, you can enable this capability and get real-time information within seconds.

This smart feature appears in the upper left corner of the EMUI 14.2 device. It looks like a tiny capsule that will expand to a big rectangular tile for displaying full details. The feature also supports a few controls and functions to directly operate an app.

For instance, you can set a screen recorder and check its activity via the Live View feature. When enabled, the feature will show the screen recording time in the capsule.

Tapping this capsule will let you view the screen recording details in a tile or perform operations like pause/resume. Thus, users can control the respective activity without actually opening its application or looking for other settings on the device.

Still, if you want to open the app then you can touch any blank area of your smartphone’s screen. Doing so will immediately lead you to the corresponding app.

EMUI 14.2 Live View can be used to check food delivery app status, timer/alarms, taxi-hailing services, and more. Let’s find out how you can access this feature.

How to use the EMUI 14.2 Live View feature?

Note that this feature will only work on devices with EMUI 14.2. Users are required to sync an application with the Live View feature to make it work. To do so, follow the instructions given below.

  • Visit the Settings app

  • Turn on the notification permissions for the app you want Live View for.

Now come back to the Notifications & Status Bar page. Select the Status Bar and choose the Live View option. Here you can add or remove applications by turning on/off the toggle beside the app. Note that the feature only works when a real-time task is in progress.

I like to listen to music, sing, dance, and play outdoor games. I have a huge interest in reading novels and cooking. I'm good enough as a speaker. Besides, I have the willingness to learn new things and increase my knowledge in different aspects with full dedication and determination.
