VoWiFi update rolling for Honor View10 along with April EMUI security [India]

Honor View10 is officially added in the list VoWiFi enabled devices in India because the phone users have just started to receive this feature via a new software update.

Honor has begun sending a new update for Honor View10 that installs the VoWiFi feature and April 2020 security patch. However, we’ve not confirmed whether it brings Huawei Assistant and Smart Charging, which is likely to be included in this package.

Honor has upgraded Honor View20, Honor 9N, 9 Lite, View10, Play, 9X, 20i, 10 lite, 8X, and Huawei flagships with VoWiFi update in India.

Honor View10 VoWiFi Update Changelog:

Calls: Enables the VoWiFi features for certain carriers.

Security: Integrates Android security patches released in April 2020 for improved system security.

DETAILS:

VoWiFi: Or Wi-Fi Calling feature enables users to use smartphones that support VoWiFi to dial numbers to use voice or video calls over Wi-Fi connection. Currently in India, only Jio and Airtel networks are offering VoWiFi services.

Activate Wi-Fi Calling:

You can activate the VoWiFi calling by going to Settings > Mobile network > Mobile data > Wi-Fi Calling > tap on Wi-Fi Calling slider to enable this feature.

Or via simply to Phone dialer > Settings > Wi-Fi Calling, tap the Wi-Fi Calling slider to enable this feature.

April 2020 Security: April 2020 security update includes patches from Google and brings fixes to 5 critical, 12 high, and 1 medium level of Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures (CVE).

VERSION:

Honor View10 update comes with version 10.0.0.175 and 725MB of package size.

Note: The update is rolling out in batches for the Indian variant and it may take some time to reach your devices.
