Vivo, OPPO and Huawei are top three vendors in China, reveals Canalys Smartphone Shipment Report Q1 2021
The market analyzing firm, Canalys shared the smartphone shipment report for the first quarter of 2021 in China on 29th April 2021. It shows that the Chinese smartphone market is returning on track after one year of the pandemic.
Total shipments in the mainland smartphone market reached 92.4% million units with a 27% increase after suffering from a 20% of drop during the national lockdown.
Vivo, OPPO, and Xiaomi recorded their best accomplishment in recent years. Despite the US-Sanction, it’s unbelievable to see how Vivo and OPPO catching up with Huawei and ruling the market in China as well as in the global market.
Vivo is ruling the smartphone market with a total of 21.6 million shipped blocks and recorded a 79% annual growth with 23% of the total market share.
OPPO is chasing behind Vivo in the second position with a total of 20.6 million shipped units, which covers 22% of the total market share with 65% of annual growth.
Huawei lost its smartphone crown and fell on the third position followed by Xiaomi and Apple. The companies sold 14.9, 13.5, and 12,0 million units of smartphones and accountable for 15%, 13%, and 11% of the total market shares.
Among them, Huawei shows a 50% of decline in annual growth whereas Xiaomi and Apple registered 75% and 49% of yearly increases across the Mainland.
