Upcoming Honor Magic 5 has new triple camera and BOE display
Huawei‘s former subsidiary, Honor is planning to start big this year and Honor Magic 5 could be perfect to achieve this mark for the company, as recently, its camera system and display details have emerged.
Weibo tipster DigitalChatStation shared a sketch of two devices and one of them is claimed to be the Honor Magic 5 with a triple rear camera. Looking at the arrangement, the camera system has a large ring shape camera bump including three lenses and an LED flash. The cameras are placed in a triangle form.
This is quite different from the Magic 4 and it has an LED flash at the bottom. To be mentioned, the camera has 100X zoom, and it seems that the phone uses a periscope camera on top size, as it appears rectangular.
The sketch further reveals the volume rocker and power button on the right side. There’s also another sketch on the right side but it has Hasselblad camera branding, which is unconfirmed for new Honor phones.
BOE Display:
Tipster, Classmateguan reveals that Honor Magic 5 will come with a flagship BOE screen and it will be the first time when Honor will use it.
He said that Honor Magic 5 will be lighter in design and IP68 dustproof and waterproof, which are the standards of a flagship device.
Past information reveals that Honor and BOE are collaborating closely since both of these are increasing cooperation. BOE is already a supplier of previous Honor devices including Honor Magic 4 Ultimate Edition and Magic 4 Pro.
From these two, Honor Magic 4 Ultimate Edition comes with BOE’s next-generation flexible OLED display and is equipped with BOE’s self-developed 1Hz to 120Hz adaptive frequency dynamic refresh rate technology.
Currently, Honor has not announced the launch of this smartphone lineup but Honor seems to be really preparing for the major showcase and it would be interesting.
