Twitter to add Follow button below tweets
Twitter continues to rollout new features for users and the social media platform is working on a fast follow button directly below tweets.
Jane Wong revealed that Twitter is testing a follow button below tweets. A shared image shows that follow button is at the bottom along with other feature icons – comments, retweet, like, share, and tweet states.
Up until now, there are different ways to follow a specific Twitter account. You can open the Twitter account in a detailed view and click the follow button. Twitter could also suggest you follow an account.
On the web platform, Twitter would also allows you to follow an account by hovering over the account name and a popup window will open with key profile details. For now, the options tray between tweets offers only – comment, retweet, like, and share.
However, It would allow users to follow an account faster than before. While some may prefer opening the profile in the first place. Some users suggest that Twitter should add a mute button, which would be more helpful.
Currently, Twitter has not announced such a feature for users. While it remained unknown when the social media platform is actually planning to roll it out in public.
