Surprise! Huawei P30 Pro gets July 2023 system improvements update

It’s a surprise because Huawei is rolling out a brand new software update for the Huawei P30 Pro with July 2023 system improvements. This is the newest improvement coming for the amazing flagship and one of the most important releases from the company.

Huawei is sending firmware version 12.0.0.169 for Huawei P30 Pro with a downloadable package of 184 megabytes. According to the changelog, the phone is sipping new system improvements for a better user experience in certain situations.

Rollout:

Huawei P30 Pro is receiving July 2023 software update with the latest system improvements in phase. Therefore, the release may take some time to reach all of the users. However, we suggest all of you to get check this firmware manually via Settings.

Patch:

Last month, Huawei also released a software patch for EMUI 12. It installed stability improvements. However, the package only weighs 19.23MB with no EMUI version. Yet, some users reported of not receiving this patch.

Camera:

Some of the Huawei P30 Pro owners are still facing camera blur issues, which is not new but it’s quite annoying. However, we would like to know user feedback after installing this update.

EMUI 13:

Currently, Huawei is testing EMUI 13 beta for recent flagship smartphones – P50 Pro, P50 Pocket, and other recent devices. But we haven’t heard of EMUI 13 eligibility for this P-series flagship.

How to update

You can download the latest improvements for your device via Settings > System & updates > Software update > CHECK FOR UPDATES. On the other hand, you can try Huawei HiSuite on a PC or MAC to request the new firmware.
