Standard Pura 70 to support AI Image Expand feature in future: Huawei
Huawei Pura 70 Pro+ and Ultra models recently received the all-new AI Image Expand feature. As per the changelog, the capability was expected to be confined to high-end models. But the company now said to bring this feature to standard variants as well.
The CTO of Huawei Device Business Group – Li Xiaolong (Bruce Lee) has confirmed that the standard Pura 70 models will get the AI Image Expand feature in the future.
Bruce Lee announced the news while sharing his experience with the AI Image Expand feature. When a user asked in the comment section if the standard model would ever receive this significant functionality, the CTO replied as follows:
“Don’t worry, we are expanding the cloud computing power and will support it in the future.”
Huawei Device Consumer Service further responded that currently only Pura 70 Ultra and Pro+ handsets support this feature. Although users can pay attention to Huawei’s official news and look for subsequent support of Pura 70/Pro versions.
AI Image Expand feature recognizes the content of a photograph and then recommends the image’s area and ratio expansion. Once confirmed by the user, the feature enlarges the image with more screen content in it. You can check the comparison below.
The capability relies upon image generation and analytical technology to recognize the objects and enlarge them without affecting the original quality of the picture.
Hence, users get a larger image with a wider view range. Pura 70 high-end models are receiving the new feature with the HarmonyOS 4.2.0.172 build number. The update also carries certain gaming improvements for an efficient user experience.
