Standard Huawei Watch GT 3 wearable users in the global market are quite happy as the HarmonyOS 4 software update has knocked on their doors. The latest firmware arrived with several interesting features and optimizations for a stable experience.

Starting with the software version, the Huawei Watch GT 3 global users can identify the HarmonyOS 4.0 update with a 4.0.0.111 build number and a downloadable package of 138MB. Make sure to have good enough storage to install the firmware.
In terms of additions, the wearable firmware accompanies an app grid to display the application names. Besides, it brings a useful mistouch prevention feature to prevent accidental touch while doing workouts.
The update also adds a new wake screen which quickly turns on the screen on receiving a new alert. Ahead, users will find optimizations for the swiping effects, font size, alarm feature, workout experience, and performance aspects. You can check the changelog below.

New Features:
- Allows you to view app names on the app grid. To display app names, rotate the crown to zoom in.
- Adds the mistouch prevention feature for workouts. When the screen is turned off during a workout, the watch crown will be automatically locked and cannot be pressed or rotated, to prevent misoperations.
- Allows you to customize the workout data and widget layout for certain workout types, and displays more information on the workout screen.
- Adds the Wake screen switch. Once enabled, your watch screen will automatically turn on when a notification is received. (To enable this, go to Settings > Notifications)
Optimizations:
- Optimizes the zooming and swiping effects of app icons
- Optimizes the display with clearer text and colors to make it easier to get all your data.
- Changed the navigation path of the ‘Only show notifications when worn’ switch from Accessibility to Settings > Notifications.
- Optimizes the alarm feature so that alarms are automatically sorted based on the alarm time.
- Optimizes the workout experience in certain scenarios with more accurate workout data.
