Some of the optimizations you will see with the newest HarmonyOS 4.2 stable update are Bluetooth stability, pop-up themes, and better network connectivity.
Improvements:
- Enhances the Bluetooth connection and stability
- Adapt pop-up themes
For starters, the major upgrade is arriving in batches and may take some time to reach all the eligible units in the region. Although the FreeBuds Pro 2 users can try out the manual installation of the latest firmware via the Huawei AI Life application.
Make sure that both earphones and the charging box have 20% of battery. Also, keep the earphones in the charging box during the entire update, and do not use them until the upgrade completes. In case the update fails, you can re-pair, check the issue, and try again.
