Shouldn’t the global Huawei P30 Pro also receive EMUI 13 just like HarmonyOS 3 or 4 in China?
Huawei P30 and P30 Pro are booked to upgrade over HarmonyOS 4 in early 2024, which is a big surprise, on the other hand, the global Huawei P30 Pro is still not confirmed for EMUI 13, which is equivalent to HarmonyOS 3.
In mid-year, Huawei released an EMUI 13 roadmap, which consists of only 11 devices. This is by far the smallest roadmap in the history of major EMUI software releases.
Over the past year, Huawei launched only one software release for the Huawei P30 Pro smartphone in the global market. Thereafter, we have not reported any further firmware news for the corresponding device.
Huawei P30 Pro global models received EMUI 12 last year, which is a good gesture from the company. Compared to this, the same device not only received HarmonyOS 3 in China but is also eligible for HarmonyOS 4.
This new version of the HarmonyOS software brings brand-new additions including smart folders with numerous layout selections. New live window feature, interactive and smooth animations.
The company also improved its overall graphics performance with a new graphics engine. Moreover, Huawei is focusing on increasing the security and safety of the entire software ecosystem with the HarmonyOS 4 upgrade.
HarmonyOS 4 will improve the aspects of Huawei P30 Pro in China and it’s an amazing upgrade. Shouldn’t the Huawei P30 Pro global users also consider receiving EMUI 13 or EMUI 14 to make it ‘even’ for all of the P30 Pro consumers? That’s an interesting question that should be addressed by Huawei.
