September 2021 update for Huawei P40 and Mate 30 fixes app bug and install new security [CN]
In the rapid development, Huawei continues to gain more footprint for its new operating system – HarmonyOS. The Huawei P40 series is one of the initial testers of this homegrown mobile software and already running the stable HarmonyOS 2.0 along with the Huawei Mate 30 series.
Last month, both of these flagship phone lineups, received a new feature update that provides more simplicity while operating through the Control panel and Notification center. Also, the new camera feature such as Multi-camera enhances the overall user experience with its distributed capabilities.
However, the company continues to explore more ways to incorporate the latest improvements and send them to Huawei device users. Adding to this, Huawei P40 and Mate 30 series with HarmonyOS 2.0 in China are now receiving September 2021 software update.

According to the changelog, Huawei P40 and Mate 30 series latest software update brings new system app bugs and installs new system security for improved system performance.
This firmware has begun to roll out at the initial level for the first batch of selected beta testers. It will soon cover all the eligible models of the Huawei P40 and Mate 30 series. In the meantime, the users can check for the OTA update in Settings >> System & updates >> Update >> Check for updates >> Download and install.

- Make sure your device is not root
- Maintain enough battery and storage while updating.
- This update won’t erase your personal data, but we recommend you to take a back in advance.

Huawei P40 Series:
Huawei P40 is the last year’s P-series flagship lineup that comes with a number of premium features. These were introduced as camera-focused smartphones which include three models, Huawei P40, P40 Pro, and P40 Pro+.
The Huawei P40 lineup is powered by the Kirin 990 5G octa-core chipset and comes pre-packed with the Android 10 based EMUI 10.1. These handsets are available in various RAM and storage options.
