September 2020 EMUI/Magic UI security update details released
Huawei has released the EMUI 11 at HDC 2020 and its beta version has already started to rollout for the Huawei P40, Mate 30 and MatePad Pro series devices. However, global Huawei owners may have to wait a bit longer to get their hands on this latest EMUI version.
In the meantime, Huawei has now released the patch details of the September 2020 EMUI update that will soon begin to rollout for Huawei and Honor devices.
The security updates for Huawei devices include CVE (Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures) announced in the September 2020 Android security bulletin.
There are also issues with the operating system, kernel, and driver updates that may not affect any particular features on the devices but need to be fixed through monthly updates.
The September 2020 security patch from Huawei fixes different levels of exploits and issues within Huawei phones including 3 critical and 19 high levels of CVEs. No Medium or low CVEs found in this month’s security forecast.
These new patches with fixes will soon start to reach to Huawei and Honor smartphones via EMUI/Magic UI software updates.
