Second phase HarmonyOS 2 public beta recruitment begins for these 6 Nova devices [List]

June 2 was a remarkable day in the history of Huawei product launch conference. On that day, the company stepped foot into the new era of a brand new software ecosystem and unveiled HarmonyOS 2 for smartphones as well as other smart devices.

Right after the launch, Huawei also started rolling for the first HarmonyOS 2.0 public beta version for the 18 eligible devices including Mate 40, P40, Mate 30, and MatePad Pro 5G series.

The HarmonyOS 2 is designed to completely replace the existing EMUI Android-based operating system. It brings a new home screen, control panel, service center, HarmonyOS font, better security, and others to provide a brand new user experience.

Now, according to the latest information, Huawei has sped up the HarmonyOS testing program and opened the second phase of HarmonyOS 2.0 public beta for 6 devices including:

  1. Huawei Nova 6
  2. Huawei Nova 6 5G
  3. Huawei Nova 7 5G
  4. Huawei Nova 7 Pro 5G
  5. Huawei Nova 8
  6. Huawei Nova 8 Pro 5G

To join the HarmonyOS 2.0 public beta, follow below steps:

  • Open My Huawei app
  • Go to Home
  • Open Upgrade Early Adopters
  • Check Public Beta Early Adopter

Alternatively,

  • Go to Huawei Club
  • Check
  • Public Beta Early Adopter

For your information, these devices were a part of the initial closed beta testing, which was started on June 2 inside the Chinese market. Moreover, the eligible Nova models also started receiving the HarmonyOS 2.0 closed beta builds via OTA upgrades.

It seemed that Huawei has started the early adaptation for eligible devices as scheduled. The company is doing so to achieve the new aim to install HarmonyOS 2.0 in 360 million devices this year.

Still, HarmonyOS’s rollout is limited to the Chinese models and may soon be opened for global consumers.
