Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 gathers spotlight with latest Geekbench test
Qualcomm is preparing to unveil its next flagship chipset – Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 and it is now benchmarked on Geekbench with a stunning difference in performance from its predecessor.
A Nubia phone with model – NX769J hosted a Geekbench session with 12GB RAM and an Android 14 operating system. The single-core score is 1596 points and the multi-core score is 5977 points. This is less than what we’ve seen in the alleged Galaxy S24+ Geekbench listing of 2233 single-core and 6661 multi-core points.
Tipster DigitalChatStation also elaborated on this leak, saying that the current test results may vary from the commercial unit. The model shown above is predicted as Nubia Red Magic 9, which is a gaming phone.
The specs of the Gen 3 chipset have Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 here, 1 x 3.19GHzX4 + 5×2.96GHz A720+ 2×2.27GHz A520 and Adreno 750 GPU. Past information shows that the chipset will be produced with TSMC’s N4P processing technology.
Aside from Geekbench, there’s no official information but a report suggests that Qualcomm will unveil Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 at its annual Tech summit in October. Afterward, a series of Android phone makers will use this platform in their flagship devices.
