Promotions and fans are helping Huawei to surge in China
In the second quarter of 2019, Huawei acquired 27.6% of the Chinese smartphone market, more than any other smartphone vendor in the country. And a new report shows that this continuous increase in sales is the result of the company’s promotion and fan patriotism.
A promotional campaign by Huawei and local retailers supporting the brand was everywhere, said, local consumers. They’re also influenced by the unfair US policy for Huawei in its trade war with China.
To hike sales up, Huawei has reduced prices for its flagship lineup including P and Mate series smartphones and other smartphones, also it’s applying promotional offers on its sub-brand Honor, which is doing an amazing job for the company.
Moreover, Huawei’s rise in the home ground is also hurting its rivals including Xiaomi, Vivo, and Oppo. While Apple shipments fell 14%.
According to the second quarter results shown by Canalys, Huawei has acquired 31% Year on Year growth rate by shipping 37.3 million units compared to 28.5 million units shipped during the same period last year with a market share of 27.6%.
“Huawei’s addition to the US Entity List caused uncertainty overseas, but in China, it has kept its foot on the accelerator,” said Canalys Analyst Mo Jia”
