Promo poster leak suggests October launch for Huawei Mate 40 series
We’re just a few days away from the annual Huawei Developer Conference, where Huawei will launch its latest software and hardware products. At the event, Huawei will also announce the launch date of the Huawei Mate 40 series.
Ahead of the official announcement, a promo poster coming from Weibo suggests that the Huawei Mate 40 series will be unveiled in October, followed by its sale. In the poster, the company also hyped the upcoming 5G Kirin processor and its importance in the Huawei smartphone ecosystem. Aside from this information, there’s not enough to explore in this promo content.
Previous report suggests that the Huawei Mate 40 series will get the launch date in October in four variants – Huawei Mate 40, Mate 40 Pro, Mate 40 Pro+, and Mate 40 RS.
Both standard Huawei Mate 40 and Mate 40 Pro sports with the curved display but the Mate 40 Pro is bigger than the Mate 40 and similar to the Mate 30 Pro. Moreover, the curves of Huawei Mate 40 Pro+ will be bigger than the Mate 40 and Mate 40 Pro.
Huawei Mate 40 Pro will come with a pill-type punch-hole display with a waterfall curved. The phone has a volume rocker and a power key in red color, as well as symmetrical dual speakers.
Huawei Mate 40 will feature a 6.5-inch OLED, and Mate 40 Pro will feature a 6.78-inch waterfall OLED display. Huawei Mate 40 series will be powered by 5nm Kirin 9000 processor, pre-equipped with EMUI 11. Currently, Huawei has not announced its launch date but it could happen in October this year.
