Pangu Model 3.0 Large AI Model launching tomorrow

Hu Houkun, Huawei’s rotating chairman has confirmed that Pangu Large Model 3.0 will launch tomorrow at Huawei Cloud Developer Conference. The latest comment from the Huawei chief is coming during his speech at the 2023 World Artificial Intelligence Conference.

Mr. Houkun said that general artificial intelligence has become the hottest topic. Huawei will make every effort to promote artificial intelligence in the next stage. Huawei will deepen its computing power and build a computing power base so that computing power will no longer be the bottleneck of artificial intelligence.

The company will also unravel innovations from general-purpose large-scale models to industry-wide large-scale models that allow artificial intelligence to serve thousands of industries and scientific research.

“He said that the emergence of ChatGPT at the end of last year pushed artificial intelligence to a new outlet. Artificial intelligence will help us rewrite everything around us,” said Houkon.

Also, Huawei has joined forces with 5700+ Kunpeng/Ascend partners and 30+ hardware partners in terms of ecosystem development. This will enable nearly half of Chinese large-scale model innovations, including 100+ scenario-based series of AI hardware, incubation/adaptation of large 30+ models, and 3.8 million+ Kunpeng/Ascend developers.

Moreover, Huawei said it is already building urban computing power infrastructure and has helped local governments build 25 Ascend artificial intelligence computing centers.

Huawei Pangu:

Launched in 2021, the Huawei Pangu series is a compound of multiple large models such as the NLP large model, CV large model, multimodal large model, and scientific computing large model. AI scale, and industrialization problems, can support a variety of natural language processing tasks, including text generation, text classification, conversation systems, and more.

NLP is the first Chinese pre-training large model with 100 billion parameters, and the CV large model has reached 3 billion parameters for the first time.

Pangu CV Large Model The largest CV large model in the industry, it is the first to achieve both discrimination and generation capabilities, and it is the industry’s first in the small sample learning ability on ImageNet.
