P10, Mate 9 and Nova 3 will start Huawei HarmonyOS 2.0 test this month
Huawei has announced that the seventh phase of HarmonyOS 2.0 will start in late September for the Huawei P10 series, Mate 9 series, Nova 3, and MediaPad M5 series. This announcement comes amid the Chinese tech giant is up and running HarmonyOS on 106 devices in China and looking to expand it further.
The seventh phase HarmonyOS 2.0 beta recruitment includes 10 includes:
- P10
- P10 Plus
- Mate 9
- Mate 9 Pro
- Mate 9 RS Porsche Design
- Nova 3
- Enjoy 9 Plus
- MediaPad M5 10.8
- MediaPad M5 Pro 10.8
- M5 8.4 inch
Huawei Mate 9 and P10 HarmonyOS:
Back in 2016, Huawei unveiled the Mate 9 device, it comes with Android 7 based Emotion UI 5.0, and with a number of upgrades, the phone currently runs EMUI 9.1. However, the old flagship is still receiving software updates and its HarmonyOS recruitment is surely a matter of joy for the owners.
On the other hand, we have the Huawei P10 series, these phones came pre-installed with EMUI 5.1 (Android 7), then EMUI 8.1 (Android 8), and later EMUI 9.1 (Android 9).
We’re keeping a track of this major development. However, there’s a thing to note that the HarmonyOS 2.0 testing is limited to Chinese users, which is a bit disappointing for the global smartphone owners.
Six Phase:
On September 8, Huawei began the HarmonyOS 2.0 closed beta recruitment for 9 devices consisting – Huawei Enjoy 20 5G, Enjoy 9S, Maimang 8, Enjoy 10, Honor 20 Youth Edition, 8X, 10 Youth Edition, 20i (and Honor 20 AAPE edition), and Play 3.
These phones are now eligible to register under the closed beta program in China and soon start receiving the HarmonyOS 2.0 beta software builds through OTA updates.
HarmonyOS 2:
HarmonyOS 2.0 is a new mobile operating system that works across different devices on the basis of distributed capabilities and empowers the Internet of Everything era.
