Official: Huawei to launch Nova Flip foldable on August 5

Huawei has confirmed the launch schedule of the Nova Flip foldable for August 5. After sharing the video teaser this morning, the company now dropped a new promotional poster on its official account. It also revealed key specs of the device.

As per the new teaser, Huawei will unveil the Nova Flip foldable on August 5 at 19:00 (Beijing Time). The device is being promoted by the famous multi-talented artist Yangqianxi (Jackson Yee). He’s the youngest member of the Chinese band TFBOYS.

The Chinese OEM will showcase the Nova Flip foldable phone at the Bilibili Super Science Night Live event. It is unclear if any other product will also appear on the same stage.

“The trend is new, and it is “new”. Nova’s first small folding #HuaweinovaFlip is here! The trend is new green, and you can play with the fun square screen. On August 5th at 19:00, we will open the #novaFlip Newborn Night.” – wrote Huawei.

Huawei has shared the new teaser with the same green foldable variant showcased this morning. It seems Green will be the star color of the Nova Flip smartphone.

The promo poster further highlights three main capabilities of the Nova Flip. The first one is strength. Huawei has crafted the new foldable with reliable materials. It is 6.88mm thin and will offer a solid and effective experience to consumers.

In terms of camera, the Nova Flip folding handset uses a 50MP rear main camera on the back. The details imply that the device will provide dynamic portraits as well as hovering selfies with enhanced optical features. Lastly, HarmonyOS software will deliver more AI fun on board.

The exact features are still unknown. However, it is confirmed that the new flip model consists of smart capabilities to upgrade the user experience to the next level.
