Honor has officially confirmed that the X60 series will support satellite communication features. The lineup was in rumors to adopt satellite SMS capability. Although the company has cleared the mist from this matter via a new teaser image.

Jiang Hairong – the CMO of Honor announced that the X60 series will use satellite communication technology. The executive shared a huge image that confirms the respective capability for the X60 models. A short para in the image reads:

“…considering that many Honor X series users work and live in forests, deserts, mountains, and other areas, we will also integrate the industry’s flagship satellite communication technology into the Honor X60 series which will actively respond to user needs!”

Note that this would be the first time when Honor is launching satellite features for a high-end model. Up to this point, the company kept this functionality confined to the flagship and top-end handsets. For instance, the Magic 6 series.

Honor introduced its rock-solid satellite SMS technology. The tech focuses on three major aspects: antenna size, call durability, and communication experience. It even surpassed Mate 60 Pro in terms of catching satellite signals at the fastest pace.

Now the company will likely use this feature with the Honor X60 series. As mentioned, users will be able to send and receive important messages with their friends or family members even when their phone is out of network or cellular signals.

However, one has to ensure that the device is under a clear sky to achieve the strongest signal. The company may clear more details on this matter on October 16.
