October 2020 security update rolling out for Huawei Mate 20 X

Huawei Mate 20 X 4G and 5G variants are eligible for the EMUI 11 beta program and the company has already started recruiting its users for testing in China.

Meanwhile, Huawei is sending a new software update for Huawei Mate 20 X, which brings new improvements for the system security with patches released in October 2020.

EMUI VERSION:

Huawei Mate 20 X getting EMUI 10.1 version 10.1.0.254 with an update size of 130MB in West Europe.

CHANGELOG:

Security: Integrates Android security patches released in October 2020 for improved system security.

October 2020 Security Patch Details:

October 2020 security update install security fixes for different levels of exploits and issues within Honor phones including 21 high levels and 1 medium level of CVEs.

• The update is rolling out in batches so it may take some time/days to reach your device.
• The update will not erase any data.
