Not using Huawei tech will be a major mistake of Chinese auto industry: WM Motors

Mei Songlin, chief data officer of WM Motor said failure in using Huawei will be a major strategic mistake in the transformation of the entire Chinese auto industry. This statement explains a lot about the capability of Huawei’s smart car technologies.

He also said that Huawei’s exploration in the automotive industry is unprecedented, and cooperation with auto companies can be unlimited. Huawei should not be fettered by past successful experiences. The fission-style innovation of smart electric vehicles requires subversive business model innovation to match it.

During an electronics vehicles press conference in China, Yu Chengdong, CEO of Huawei Smart Device BG and CEO of Smart Car Solution said that Huawei will build an ecosystem brand in the future which includes cars from Chery, BAIC, and JAC with Huawei technologies.

He also mentioned that the Chinese car companies’ quality management is running at the stone age, so they should be using Huawei standards to increase their production.

Huawei is continuously making efforts to improve the driving system and supports sales of ecosystem cars. Therefore, Huawei could be a big helper in increasing sales count for the Chinese auto car sector.

Recently, Huawei Founder Ren Zhengfei also said that Huawei doesn’t make cars and urged all of the industry partners to refrain from misusing Huawei’s brand integrity.
