Huawei Mate X6 and its paper-like thin display showed surprising results in a new video. The company has dropped the foldable’s durability test clip on its Weibo account. It implies that the OEM has significantly worked on the device’s toughness.

Mate X6 foldable launched at the Mate 70 series launch event with bigger displays and a slim-trim design. The phone might look fragile but its overall durability can surprise you in every manner. Let’s explore some test results of the new foldable.

The Chinese OEM shared a teaser regarding Mate X6’s body material. The 30-second clip didn’t reveal much but implied that the foldable will have a tougher structure.

Now Huawei has shared the entire 4-minute-long video revealing the Mate X6 foldable’s durability in terms of display, temperature, and many other scenarios.

Huawei has used the distributed basalt material for Huawei Mate X6 this time. It has aerospace-grade material for the bezels and hinges. The second-gen Kunlun Glass is a plus point in this case that ensures scratch resistance in every scenario.

These upgrades makes the device withstand any kind of impact. It can easily bear any kind of scratch, bending, and other tests regarding durability aspects.

The clip initially shows that Huawei has significantly improved the cooling system for the Mate X6. It brings an advanced heat-dissipation mechanism to avoid overheating. Its 3D VC liquid cooling system and graphite layer further enhance heat transfer.

Coming to the body, the device has been bumped with a huge block but its sides and hinges remained intact. It easily survived the bangs on it. But something more surprising is the durability of the Huawei Mate X6’s display panel.

A 300kg motorbike was dangled from Huawei Mate X6’s main screen. Despite the heavy weight of the bike, the screen didn’t get any damage at all and remained in a single piece. This was one of the most impressive tests for the Mate X6.
