New security update rolling out for Huawei Y9 2019 smartphone users
Back in 2019, Huawei released the Y9 2019 smartphone with EMUI 8.2 based on Android 8.2. Following the launch, the company has kicked off EMUI 9.1 major upgrade to provide a new user interface experience.
To be mentioned, this device is not eligible for EMUI 10 and above upgrades and also completed its monthly update cycle. As of now, it is under the company’s quarterly update device list. Apart from this, it was also observed that Huawei is good at taking care of its old devices system security.
Now, Huawei has begun pushing a new software update for Y9 2019 users. This update mainly installs the security patch released in November 2020 that fixes different levels of exploits and issues to protect your device against threats.
