New improvements released for Huawei Nova 8 SE with November 2020 security patch
Last month, Huawei has launched the Huawei Nova 8 SE in China. The Nova 8 SE comes with a 6.53-inch OLED display with 2400 x 1080 resolution, EMUI 10.1, MediaTek Dimensity 720/800U processor, 64MP rear camera, 16MP selfie camera, 3800mAh battery, and more.
Previous updates of Nova 8 SE brought the optimization for calling experience, fingerprint unlocking, photo effect, and system stability for a better user experience.
Now, Huawei has started sending a new software update for Huawei Nova 8 SE smartphone users. This update mainly brings the security patch released in November 2020, which fixes 3 critical and 15 high levels of CVE’s for system security improvements.
On December 23, Huawei has revealed the two new members of the Nova 8 family, Huawei Nova 8 and Nova 8 Pro in China with a new camera design, 120Hz refresh rate, and more.
New Version:
- Huawei Nova 8 SE smartphones receiving EMUI 10.1 version 10.1.1.146/147 updating from 10.1.1.134/135.
Changelog:
- Optimizes the fingerprint unlocking experience in some scenes.
- Optimizes the display effect of some interfaces.
- Optimizes system stability.
- Installs the November 2020 security patch.
Note:
- The update is rolling out in batches so it may take some time/days to reach your device.
- The update will not erase any data.
UPDATE INSTRUCTION:
Download via Settings:
- Open Settings
- Click on the System & updates
- Open Software update
- Tap on Check for updates option
- If an update is available, click on Download and install
- After installation Reboot the device
Download via Support app:
- Open the Support app on your device
- Go to the Service tab
- Click on the update button
- Tap on Check for update option
- If an update is available, click on Download and install
- After installation Reboot the device
