New Huawei tri-folding smartphone design looks interesting
Recently, the Chinese Intellectual Property Office published a new patent for Huawei, revealing a new tri-folding phone smartphone desing that looks interesting from the sketches.
The patent has application number CN217847335U and is titled “foldable electronic equipment and housing device. That’s not it, the patent also includes a diagram and actual design in work.
According to the details, there’s a foldable phone with a three-fold structure. There are two hinges, one on the left side and the other on the right side.
These hinges are connected between the second housing and the second moving part of the second hinge assembly. So as to prevent the second housing and the third housing from being folded relative to the second hinge assembly.
When the second housing and the third housing are in the open state, and the first housing and the second housing are relatively folded from the open state to the first closed state, the second end of the connecting member moves away from the second hinge assembly.
Thereafter, the second housing and the third housing can be folded relative to the second shaft assembly. The electronic equipment needs to be folded in a certain order by setting the connecting device, so as to ensure smooth movement of the folding components and improve the life of the electronic equipment.
Work in the patent:
Currently, Huawei has not announced the production of a tri-folding smartphone. Hence, we can expect this to go out as research for the moment but we may see it in near future.
As for now, Huawei has a number of different foldable smartphones that includes the Mate Xs 2 with an outward fold and the Huawei Mate X2 with an inward fold and dual screens.
On the other hand, Huawei Pocket S comes with a flip-style foldable design. These are all well received by consumers, as Huawei is the only company after Samsung that is pursuing foldable devices with new smartphones.
