Honor will soon announce a new device with MagicOS and the company will also bring changes in the control center, which is a ripoff of Huawei EMUI and iOS software.

A tipster from Weibo has shared a screenshot of a new upcoming control center. This feature in a smartphone is an essential corner to quickly access top features and options.

We’ve compared the new Honor MagicOS control center with EMUI and iOS and also shared the details below. But first, let’s explore the view of this brand-new capability.

The connection controls are placed on the top left corner including Bluetooth and WiFi. On the top right, you will find eye-safe mode and a barcode scanner.

In the middle, there’s a media controller and media casting option. The right side has two vertical sliders for brightness and volume. The third section consists of quick-access settings icons. It supports expanding the feature to reveal more of the settings.

On the bottom, you can see a widget for smart device management. To be mentioned, the control panel supports an editing feature in order to manage all of the existing options.

Inspired by EMUI and iOS:

The latest changes made to the control center of Honor MagicOS reflect a huge inspiration from its former parent Huawei’s EMUI and its announced rival Apple’s iOS.

Specifically, the widgets and the design of the entire control panel are similar to the EMUI, and the slider for brightness and sound is identical to iOS.

Also, the current Honor MagicOS 7.1 has EMUI 11 like quick settings. This is quite an old style and the new one will suit better for the Honor phone users.

Yet, the rollout of this new feature remains unknown at the moment but it is more likely to draw attention with a new device. If not, then we will see it with MagicOS 8 (Android 14).
