HarmonyOS NEXT Dark Mode

Huawei HarmonyOS NEXT beta is open for developers and the testing version brings major changes to UI including the dark mode interface. A new leak reveals how the Chinese phone maker has enhanced the dark mode with its new software system.

Weibo tipster @FixedFocus has revealed the HarmonyOS NEXT Dark Mode view. The leak says that the new software version holds notable changes for dark mode, compared to previous builds. It’s easy to apply on various apps on Huawei devices.

App Look

For reference, the tipster said that TikTok now easily adapts to the device system color. Previously, the app’s comments section used to remain white regardless of using different modes. But now, it quickly changes as per the system shade.

Light and Dark Mode

The tipster further compares both the Light and the Dark Mode of HarmonyOS NEXT. He says that the normal (white) shade appears simpler and cleaner on the device.

Dark Mode, on the other hand, looks more stylish and fascinating. The shared image shows a grayish background with a circular-shaped pattern. On this background, the HarmonyOS NEXT appears in bold White colors, which is quite eye-catching.

Both modes can achieve two sets of styles. These styles may refer to different shades (off-white or grayish). The next change is the refresh animation. As per the leak, the dark mode results in smoother and rapid refresh animations which looks amazing.

Conclusion

Overall, the HarmonyOS NEXT dark mode adaptation for apps as well as devices will likely be much better. It may offer enhanced visibility than previous software versions. But it’s just a small revelation and we can expect more changes with the stable build.

As per the official intro, HarmonyOS NEXT significantly focuses on the user interface and app optimization. It not only makes animations smoother but also aims to glorify the home screen. At the same time, it also boosted privacy for data protection.

Earlier, the HarmonyOS NEXT Control Panel showed up in the leak. It seemed more improved and cleaner than before. It carries combined sections for connection, media player, as well as other quick-setting icons, rather than retracted ones.
