New EMUI update for Huawei Nova 6, Nova 6 5G, Nova 6 SE brings new security patch, features and more

In the last EMUI update, Huawei sent various new improvements, features, and fixes to Huawei Nova 6 series, which comprises Huawei Nova 6, Nova 6 5G and Nova 6 SE smartphones.

This latest trio of Nova-series, now receiving a new EMUI package that brings February 2020 security patch, optimizes system stability and adds knuckle gesture, which was is also recently rolled out for Honor V30 series.

February 2020 security update improves system security with Google security patches and fixes to fixes to 2 critical and 20 high levels of Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures (CVE).

One of the critical CVE-2020-0022 AKA BlueFrag was also fixed in this update, which allows silent code execution on the device that leads to data theft and spreading malware.

The new knuckle gestures allow users to perform different tasks with a double-tap, slide or drawing a shape on the display for screen recording, screenshot, scroll shot, split-screen, and more.

Separately for Huawei Nova 6 SE, the update installs optimization audio playback, improves sound experience and optimizes system stability.

This new update for Huawei Nova 6 and Nova 6 5G comes with EMUI version 10.0.1.167. Huawei Nova 6 SE receiving the latest EMUI version 10.0.1.152.
