NetEase Games becomes first to complete HarmonyOS NEXT version adaptation
China’s NetEase Games platform has now completed the HarmonyOS NEXT adaptation. The company developed its first HarmonyOS native application named ‘A Chinese Ghost Story’ game with new features and improved functions.
Huawei has announced the exciting news on its official Weibo page. The Chinese tech giant mentioned that NetEase Games has completed the development of the first HarmonyOS NEXT-based app and successfully achieved the new HarmonyOS adaptation.
Eventually, the latest gaming app will unfold interactive gameplay and a more innovative experience for players. Thus, users will be able to encounter boastful gaming performance with smoother and more responsive operations.
Other significant changes in this game include clearer and more flexible visuals. It will offer seamless performance over other gaming versions, without creating any interruption in the gameplay.
The information further reveals that Huawei declared the development of the new NetEase Game in August last year. At that time, the app had just been put on with the rendering work and imposed a variety of SDKs such as video, audio, and log-in.
As of now, the game is ready and the company will soon launch it for consumers. Apart from NetEase, several other games are in the process of adapting to the open-source HarmonyOS NEXT ecosystem. The list includes ZhuXian, Apex Battleship, and more.
Huawei will hold the first HarmonyOS ecosystem development conference on January 18. At the event, the company will share its words on the latest software development. Perhaps, we may hear some points on the HarmonyOS NEXT products as well.
