Micro-Stereoscopic AOD, Split-Screen, Dark Mode optimizations rolling for Huawei Mate 30 series with second EMUI 10.1 patch
Earlier this month, Huawei Mate 30 series started to receive EMUI 10.1 beta build in China. The first Beta update brought fingerprint animations, Multiscreen collaboration, MeeTime, Screen Sharing, Cross-Device Gallery.
Now, Huawei has pushed a second beta for Huawei Mate 30 devices that brings a number of major features and optimizations. Including new Split-screen, 3D AOD, improvements to Dark mode, and applications.

ChangeLog – Huawei Mate 30 Series 2nd EMUI 10.1 beta
Split-Screen:
Just slide-in from either side of the screen and stay to access the app dock. Apps inside the sidebar can be dragged across the screen to initiate Multi-Window. Images, text, and even files can be dragged from one app to another.
Floating Window allows users to perform basic tasks such as responding to text messages without exiting the active full-screen app, so users can stay focused on their tasks at hand.
Always On Display (AOD):
Adds the new Kingfisher Micro-Stereoscopic clock style to the Always on Display (AOD) to create a 3D depth of field. Open Settings > Home screen & wallpaper > Always On Display.
Dark Mode:
Adds dark mode support for more third-party applications.
Apps:
Improves the start speed of some applications for better performance.

EMUI versions:
The 2nd EMUI 10.1 beta for Huawei Mate 30, Mate 30 Pro, Mate 30 5G, Mate 30 Pro 5G, and Mate 30 RS Porsche Design comes with EMUI version EMUI 10.1.0.126 upgrading from 10.1.0.119. While the size of this update is 0.95GB.
Note: EMUI version and size may vary depending on the region/country.
How to check for update:
- Open Settings
- Click on System & updates
- Click on Software update
- Click on CHECK FOR UPDATES
- Click on Download and install
