May 2021 security patch released for Huawei Enjoy 10 and Enjoy 9e smartphones (EMUI 9.1)

The May 2021 security update has started moving towards old smartphones and this time reaching Huawei Enjoy 10 and Enjoy 9e devices. To recall, the Enjoy series contained low-budget China-exclusive smartphones.

According to information, Huawei has pushed the EMUI 9.1 version 9.1.0.296 from 9.1.0.295 for Enjoy 9e. On the other side, EMUI version 9.1.0.210 from 9.1.0.209 released for the Huawei Enjoy 10 smartphones.

Other than the security improvements, this changelog doesn’t bring any other changes made to the system. More information about the update instructions and notes linked below.

Huawei Enjoy 10 eligible for HarmonyOS 2.0:

On June 2, with the unveiling of the HarmonyOS 2.0 operating system, Huawei has released a HarmonyOS 2.0 upgrade rollout plan for over Huawei devices limited to the Chinese market.

According to the official roadmap, Huawei Enjoy 10 smartphone is eligible to upgrade over the brand new OS in the first half of 2022.

May 2021 security patch details: This security update fixes different levels of exploits and issues including 3 critical, 10 high, and 4 medium levels of CVE for improved system security.

Update steps:

There are two ways that you can download this latest software update, both of these areas the following:

VIA SETTINGS:

  1. Go to Settings
  2. Tap on System 
  3. Tap Software update
  4. Tap Check for Updates
  5. Download and Install
  6. Install

After the installation and restart, we recommend you let the system optimize the new application so your device can run smoothly on further commands.

You can also request this update via the Support app with the following instructions.

  1. Open the Support app
  2. Go to the Services tab
  3. Tap on Update
  4. Download and Install
  5. Install
