March 2021 update released for Huawei Nova 8 Pro and Nova 8 SE
In mid-March, Huawei has delivered an update for Nova 8 and 8 Pro smartphones, which brought February 2021 security update and new improvements for knuckle gestures.
In the same month, Huawei is now sending another firmware update Nova 8 Pro alongside Nova 8 SE. The Nova 8 Pro update comes with new optimizations for display and system stability to make your phone run smoother and more stable.
According to the Nova 8 SE changelog, this update mainly installs the security patch released in February 2021. This security patch fixes different levels of exploits and issues for improved system security.

- Nova 8 SE started grabbing EMUI 10.1 version 10.1.1.150 from 10.1.1.148/149
- Nova 8 Pro started grabbing EMUI 11 version 11.0.0.152 from 11.0.0.137

Security patch details: February 2021 security patch fixes 2 critical and 26 high levels, and 77 medium levels of CVEs for improved system security.

- The update is rolling out in batches so it may take some time/days to reach your device.

HOW TO INSTALL:
To download this update manually, go to Settings then System & updates, then open Software update, from here select Check for updates. If an update is available it’ll pop-up on your phone and an option of Download and install will appear. Press the option and start to download.
Alternatively, you can also request software updates through the Support app. To do this, open the Support app, go to the Service tab on the bottom bar, tap on the update, then select Check for updates and then download and install.
About knuckle gesture:
For those who are unaware, it is one of the easier and coolest features. It will allow you to take screenshots, screen-recording, entering in the split-screen mode, and other activities just via your knuckles.
